Prague Pics
Here are some photos from my brief trip to Prague! I Love you guys!!
Here
is a pic taken from one of the old town squares. There were lots of little
vendor's carts set up, selling lots of cute little Czech souvenirs, but I was
more interested in the architecture. :-) Every single building I saw
was one of the prettiest I'd ever seen.
Dad
managed to find a sword shop!
Here's
Derek standing in front of one of the monuments in front of the castle.
Here's
my favorite picture that I took inside the cathedral. The cathedral was
AMAZING. I can't think of any other way to describe it, really.
Here's
one of the many paintings that was displayed in the cathedral.
Here
is a nice example of the sculpture work and fluted columns.
Here's
more of the sculptures, and some of the stained glass. I took tons of pics
of the stained glass, so I couldn't send them all :-)
Here's
the rose window that's above the front doors of the cathedral.
This
is from halfway down the main aisle.
Here's
part of the outside of the cathedral, you can see all the neat gargoyles. There
were TONS of gargoyles crawling all over this place...
Here's
the front door. :-)
Here's
the rose window from the outside.
This
is looking up at it from the courtyard. It's tall...
More
gargoyles...teehee! I love 'em.
Here's
the front of the castle, at the entrance to the first courtyard. The
guards were the standy-still kind, and it was really tempting to mess with them,
but we didn't. We just grinned like idiots.
This
is looking out over the city from the hill where the castle and cathedral are.
A
typical Prague street. :-)
And
this is one of the town hall type buildings in one of the old town squares.
That's all for now, folks!
