Here's
Derek and me at the entrance to the Forum. Yes, that is the funny floppy
hat from Evian. It came in really handy!
Here
is a reeeeeally old fountain. The minerals in the water coming out of it
have created cave-like formations all over it.

uh...pretty
The
colosseum is famous for it's crowds of stray cats. They are really cute!!
The stairs in the upper right corner of the pic had about 4 or 5
more cats asleep on them. It was 100 degrees out and they get water from
the tourists. Mainly, this tourist... (that's derek to the left)

Pillars.
One
of the most complete ruins int he forum. I can't figure out what it's
called, my little book doesn't label them all very well. I THINK it might
be the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina.

fast for him!
more
pretty fragments.
ruins
Ok,
the nearest set of pillars are left over fromt he Temple of Julius Caesar, and
the far ones are from the Temple of Castor and Pollux. (we're talking 484
BC here) These pillars themselves are more like 2 AD, though. Not so
old. ;-)
nifty,
